Summer Christmas Themed Date Ideas.

Australian Edition.

And by Australian edition, I mean Any-Country-Where-Christmas-Is-In-Summer Edition.
Because we don't get snow, we don't get to cuddle by the fire and we sure as hell don't get to wear cosy sweaters. No, Sir. Instead, we get temperatures upwards of 35 degrees Celsius, a bad case of heatstroke and a hangover to boot. But! Just because it's hotter than the third level of hell come December, doesn't mean that we can't do cute and festive couple-y things in the lead up to Christmas, right, guys? RIGHT?!

Below is a list of a few of my personal favourite fun (and cheap) Christmas date ideas appropriate for the Summer months:

Will you be doing any of these with your partner this Christmas season? What are your traditions? I'd love to know!

  1. Christmas is hot and sunny weather here, too! I'm from the northern USA, though, so going to the beach for Christmas always feels like a novelty to me. :P I love my summery weather all year!

  2. Wow, I could not imagine Christmas where it is hot! But I guess if that is all you know it is normal for you! I love going to mall and just people watching during the Holidays!

  3. Love these ideas! I live in Florida and we rarely have a cold Christmas. I love the Sandmen at the beach!

  4. I grew up in San Diego so Christmas was always on the warm side. Now I am in Washington with "Christmas weather".

  17. Ahaha. A Winter-y Christmas sounds so weird to me, too. I forget that majority of the world's population don't have a Summer Christmas. :P x
